Bar of chocolate is a bar. I'm not sure about dispatching overseas, but they serve mostly chocolate based alcoholic beverages. Also yummy desserts, but mostly perishable.
Fabulous! We had a couple glasses of wine, cheesecake, blueberry pie, chocolate bourbon pecan cake and, to top it off, a lil absynthe. Our server was fabulous. A great spot!
All dessert menu. The drinks were handcrafted and delicious.
I don't go out on the town very often, or ever to be honest. My friends asked me to go out with them and I said yes. This was the first place of the evening and I had a blast! I have a super sweet tooth and loved the variety of their dessert options. They also had a pretty impressive martini list. I will definitely be visiting again!!
I’m not a fan of martinis, I’ve tried them a few times and it just wasn’t my thing. My friend told me how amazing this place and she comes here all the time so she dragged me down to give it a try. Well apparently chocolate+martini=mind blown. I got the German chocolate cake martini and she got the peanut butter martini. Mine came with a rim of coconut which was a delicious touch. And they actually tasted like what they were supposed to taste like.We also had the chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. The cake was good, not the best I’ve ever had. But the raspberry sauce was really good, I wish there was more of that to put on the cake because that really made it.I’ll go here again for a martini, because chocolate just makes it all better!
Omg! I had the German Chocolate Cake Martini! It was so good! The cakes taste really good, too! Highly recommend. Great service!
Very rich chocolate cheese cake. The chocolate martini was smooth and yummy
Absolutely delicious desserts! We tried a bunch and all were amazing. I particularly loved the chocolate maple whiskey cake with a bit of whipped cream- so yummy. And the cocktails were fantastic too. Our bartender, Tom, was great. And the prices are so reasonable! Highly recommend.
Cool place, lots of chocolate. Gotta get the peanut butter cup martini and ANY dessert!
Jim Is an absolute delight on the bar. Excellent drinks and desserts
This is a really fun place to visit. They have an amazing dessert menu, which is what caught my eye. I am not much of a drinker so I went for coffee and cake. They do have a menu specifically for dessert cocktails. I got the German chocolate cake and my husband got carrot cake- they were both amazing! The service wasn't the best, but it was a fun place to visit and wasn't too expensive. ($7 per slice of cake). Fun atmosphere. Cake portions were huge- you can definitely share a piece!
Awesome hole-in-the-wall place for cocktails and desserts. Everyone I've interacted with here has been a delight and everything I've ordered has been perfect. Great place for a date or a celebration, especially if you can work your schedule around the crowds. Love this place!
Number 1 stop for intimate dates with your significant other
Wife really like this place. German Chocolate cake was great. She loved her chocolate martini.
Dessert for dinner for my bachelorette weekend! LOVED❤👏 this place!!!! The ESPRESSO martinis were my favorite!
One of the only places to grab dessert late night in the Old Port that isn't gelato. Chocolate tortes were excellent! Only downside is because if the location this spot is often crowded (plan on waiting especially on weekends) and definitely has more of a bar vibe (you can feel the bass pumping from Pearl and other surrounding clubs at night). Not a quiet or intimate atmosphere but that may be a plus depending on what you're looking for. Come on a weekday for a more chill coffee house vibe.
Great place for a girls night out. If you love chocolate, this is a must visit spot for you!
Cool atmosphere with loud music and plenty of sitting spaces. Coffee was a but burnt tasting... desserts didn't seem appealing so I didn't try. I would come back just to kind of relax and hang out.
Great little spot in the old port, awesome flourless chocolate cake and literally the best dirty martini I've ever had!
I loved this place. It is a cozy bar/dessert bar with great environment for friends or a date. It can get loud depending on the crowd but it is mostly a place to relax and enjoy the company and the great desserts. The sea salt caramel chocolate cake had a great balance between the cake and frosting and the caramel sauce was on point and the size is perfect to share. The crem brule was amazing, specially if you add the berries on top (great suggestion by the server). It is soft and warm with the perfect crusty top and the berries balance it very well. This one is on the smaller size but it is totally woth it.
Great spot to hide from the madness of wharf st.
Fantastic for your sweet tooth!
Very small inside so be prepared to wait but it is a nice place to go for dessert and coffee!
The name says it all. Wonderful atmosphere and, like, a dozen types of chocolate cake tiki choose from. The night I visited it had delightfully dim lightning and was killing it with some excellent funk and soul jams.
Insanely unique drinks in a quaint setting.
Went here with my wife while in Portland. Great atmosphere and great service. The peanut butter and chocolate martinis are on point. 👍🏻👍🏻
Really creative and delicious drinks. I tried both a peanutbutter and a salted caramel martini, both were basically dessert in a glass. The bar itself is small and the layout is a little strange. The people working there are nice. I did not get to try any food but what I saw looked pretty good!
My wife and I's favorite place. Amazing drinks, amazing desserts. If you haven't been GO.
Well cute place but hard to find. They need a nice sign. Drinks were good and reasonable for specialty drinks. The bar is small and yes they have tables but there were laid out weird the staff was friendly And they were out of the dessert we ordered. One bathroom was out of order but there were 2. And they should really sell bars of chocolate to go with your drink as well as desserts. Maybe some signature specialty bars. This way you.could take them with you. It's a great place just needs some creative thinking to bump it beyond ok.
Bartender attempted to charge me for food I didn't order and the manager had to be called. She was even more rude than the employee. I told her to look at her cameras and call the police, and she just kept demanding her extra $5. I can't believe this place is still in existence with such bad management.
One of the best private spots in the middle of the busy city. Peanut butter Martini for dessert.
Excellent service, and a great selection of cocktails. The staff was very friendly and prompt as well. We visited during happy hour so the prices were very fair, and they make a pretty mean Irish coffee. Highly recommend, indulge yourself!
Desert was pretty good, drinks were fine, service was good. For sure a trimmed down menu due to covid, seemed to have taken perhaps a larger toll than forecasted here. Clearly potentially super high quality location, desert didn’t seem fully fresh maybe end of day or day old issue. Drinks perhaps attempted to accomplish too much without having superior quality liquor at superior quality prices. Great location, was quiet until some rather drunk folks decided to cram into the street seating and carry on in rather robust colorful language - that’s sort of par for course for this street but not really what was expected for this particular place. Probably worth a visit but don’t understand why they still don’t offer to go since deserts are like the most obvious candidate for to go and frankly during covid a desert bar is kinda an after thought.
The drink pricing is average for it's location, and they have some unique beverage options. The desserts are decent to good, but it's overall crowded, loud, and just not that inviting for my taste. But for an urbanite who draws energy from loud crowded spaces, it's probably ideal.
Fun place to get interesting drinks and delicious desserts. If you're feeling adventurous, try the peanut butter martini!
Loved this place they had great cocktails and amazing desserts!!
Cozy place for taste bud danceMy friend and I shared a torte sampler. The raspberry sauce is to die for! Absolutely amazing.
Really delicious desserts, intimate atmosphere, great cocktails. Would definitely recommend. Although the clubs next door can be a bit distracting from the nice setting of the place, granted they can't do anything about that, but the service and food and drink makes up for that. Great date spot.
Great local bar with wonderful martini options....key lime martini... Tastes just like key lime pie.
Amazing vanilla cheesecake with raspberry sauce! Came here two nights in a row and will definitely come more!
Cool cozy place! New favorite in 2018. Great place to either start or end the night! Great service, delicious drinks & desserts, bar tender was very pleasant. 5-star!
Quaint spot tucked into the heart of Portland. Great atmosphere, delicious beverages and amazing dessert. You definitely can't leave Portland without stopping by.
Great place to end the night with dessert and a drink. Location is a bit small, but if you like intimate, it is worth checking out for a night cap.
The salted carmel martini is my favorite!
Went there on Saturday night and it was a bit of a wait but absolutely worth it! We loved the Chocolate Martinis and the peanut butter and white chocolate cakes. Would definitely recommend this place for those with a sweet tooth.
Amazing place! Small, but fantastic martinis and dessert pairings.
Bartender was very accommodating for our large party. When we left he came over and personally thanked us for coming in and wished us well on our weekend. Very cute place and will definitely be visiting again!
I am sad to say that my husband who is in an electric wheelchair and myself with a TBI will never be able to enjoy anything here. I went to see if it was accessible and the answer is no and the lighting was very bothersome for me. I asked the hostess if it were possible to get something to a dessert obviously not a drink. I explained that due to lack of accessibility for the wheelchair we obviously could not sit inside. She rudely told me that there was no way to accommodate and or even Saran Wrap something to go or even offer for us to sit outside on the steps and bring the plate back in. We had saved this as a last night dessert before heading out of town the next day. I am disappointed as other local businesses have accommodated us with no questions asked on any level of need.
Skip dessert wherever you are and make your way here. The selection of dessert, wine, spirits and delectable cocktails will satisfy anyone. Our group had a variety of desserts from the menu and they were ALL tantalizingly tasty! Hidden down a side alley with other bars this place is quaint and cozy. Great place to go with friends or a late night adventure with a special someone.Follow me on IG: @mrbrandoeats
